Penarium - A Frantic 2D Arena Arcade Game
Penarium is a sinister circus arena game developed by Team17 Digital, available on Xbox One. The game is set in a 2D arena where contestants are forced to entertain a sadistic crowd, much like Gladiators of old. In this game, you take on the role of Willy, an antihero who must run, jump, and avoid an array of killer death-traps to survive and become the Champion of Penarium.
The game features four modes: Campaign mode with 30 challenges, Arcade mode with over a dozen unlockable power-ups, COOP and VS local multiplayer, and online leaderboards. The game's dark comical dialogue and cutscenes add to the overall gaming experience. The game offers three arenas for players to compete in. Penarium is a game that every kid would want to play, but no kid wants to die in one.
